I'm a Canadian skin looking for a bit of help. I was finally approved for my Australian skilled work visa, and am moving there a year from now. I know its a ways away, but I am trying to figure out all the details before I go. I'm looking for a city with a scene, work (I'm a plumber and gasfitter), and a beach (I've never been able to live on a beach). I'm guessing I'd have to move to a major city like Brisbane, Melbourne or sydney or something, but other than that I know fuck all about your country. Can someone fill me in? Places for gigs etc? Any help would be appeciated, thanks!
